Tom & I will stay in Denver tomorrow, but will be returning home
tomorrow night, as we both work on Tuesday. We expect Mom will remain at
DHMC for 3 days. If she is up to it, we will be leaving her computer with
her. She's grown quite used to her wireless Internet! This will give
her something to do, as well as allowing her to keep up on her bookwork,
etc. You may always email her at RockingBT@aol.com. If she's not
familiar with your email address, it would be helpful to give a heads up about
who she's typing to & where she knows you from.
She is still reluctant to talk on the phone, as most people have great
difficulty understanding her. She looks forward (EAGERLY) to her
next scheduled surgery, on August 2nd, in Cheyenne with Dr Martin. ( Mom
chuckles at the irony of her Drs names!) This will be a temporary repair
of her vocal chords, which will allow us to determine the extent of damage to
them. After 3 months, the temporary fix will wear off, & we will
determine the best course of action from there.
As my Aunt Barbara said, if she doesn't hear from us, she'll assume
everything is fine. But we hope to be able to send word tomorrow before we
leave Denver, about Mom's recovery.
Until then, take care & say a prayer. Mom would also tell you to
